There are many casinos located in the state, most on anchored scows. The grandest of the Iowa casinos is the Meswaki Bingo Casino Hotel, an American Indian gambling hall in Tama, with 127,669 sq.ft. of casino space, 1,500 slots, 30 table games, such as twenty-one, craps, roulette, and baccarat, and numerous types of poker; including three restaurants, bimonthly productions, and betting advice. Another big Native American casino is the Winna Vegas, with 45,000 square feet, 668 slot machines, and 14 table games. Furthermore, the Ameristar Casino Hotel in Council Bluffs never closes, with 38,500 sq.ft., 1,589 one armed bandits, 36 table games, and 4 restaurants. There are numerous other popular Iowa gambling halls, which includes Harrah’s Council Bluffs, with 28,250 sq.ft., 1,212 slot machines, and 39 table games.

A tinier Iowa gambling den is the Diamond Jo, a river boat gambling hall in Dubuque, with 17,813 sq.ft., 776 one armed bandits, and 19 table games. Iowa casinos offer an awesome amount of tax revenue to the state government of Iowa, which has enabled the budgeting of many state wide activities. Tourism has grown at a fast percentage along with the request for services and an increase in employment.
