If you like to have a beverage from time to time, leave your cash out of the casino if you set out to do your consuming in a casino. I am serious. Empty your evening bag, your money belt, and keep all cash, charge cards and checks at home. Only take only the money you intend to use on beverages, tips and few dollars you intend to throw away and keep the rest behind.

Contemptuous? Not really. Just realistic. You might have a success following a boozy night out with your buddies and be blessed enough to catch a marathon roll at a smokin craps game. Hang on to that adventure because it is as short-lived as it gets if you continuously drink alcohol and gamble. These activities just don’t go well together.

Keeping your money back at the hotel is a little drastic, but preventative measures for drastic behavior is required. If you wager to succeed, then do not consume alcohol and play. If you can afford to be wasteful with your assets without a concern, then consume all the no charge alcohol you can handle, but don’t carry credit cards and checkbooks to toss into the mix of chasing squanderings after your drunken self throws away all the cash!
