I have been betting on the internet or at land based casinos for a lot of years. I have found out, the addiction can grab a hold of you and you will not even notice it until you are bankrupt. Notably if you are on a profit streak. I have been through uncounted thousands of dollars in a very little period of time and at times, I still go too long. It seems you are just enjoying yourself up until you decide to pay attention to your losses and the blame settles in, and of course you keep advising yourself "I can gain the money back" ad infinitum. It doesn’t work. Then you get icky in your stomach and the more you attempt the quicker you relinquish.
When you observe that you are up, STAY on the UP! When you start to lose, do not tell yourself, "well just maybe one more" over and over again, believe me, this technique almost never ever works. Say you plan on wagering on slots, keep a pot set aside prior to starting your gambling. DON’T exceed that restriction, no matter how tempting. If you happen to gain, put the winnings in a different pot. Don’t spend your profits regardless of what happens. Once you have played through your beginning predetermined limit, stop. Leave, whether it’s on the net or at a real life gambling hall, don’t stay at the tables or machines. At all times remember, there will be another day, other times. Obviously, this process can function for any game that you play, be it bingo, poker, electronic poker, keno, 21 or any other casino game.
Keep in mind, wagering is supposed to be enjoyable not burdensome, sickening work! If you are not having fun yourself, you don’t belong at the casinos. If you cannot pay for the losses, don’t ever start.
